The vehicle is the first to be built on the new Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform. It added that the new Prius will debut in Japan late in 2015 and in the United States early next year.

The vehicle is available in 8 colour shades and with the new over the top styling, Toyota is trying to position the Prius as more than a “green car”. Because the fourth-generation Prius is larger than the model it replaces, the new cabin should prove roomier as a result.
The rear part of the vehicle features combination of lamps that express the distinctive lines of the Prius, from the rear spoiler to the trailing edges of the sides.
While Chevrolet deliberately toned down the styling of its Volt plug-in hybrid with its second-generation model, Toyota has kept the Prius looking very different from its similar-sized sibling, the Corolla.
Reuters, however, noted that the current us market will be tougher for the Prius as auto buyers are preferring sports utility vehicles over hybrids with gasoline prices at their lowest level since 2004. The 2016 Prius will also have a new double-wishbone suspension to improve cornering. On Tuesday, Toyota revealed the 2016 Toyota Prius that is now 10 percent better in terms of fuel-saving features, according to Ars Technica.
“What was once a rational purchase that for many customers focused on fuel economy, is now so much more”. The new hybrid auto will also be rolled out worldwide next year.
In addition to the more rigid structure, the Prius will also be one of Toyota’s first models to offer Toyota Safety Sense.

The new Toyota Prius interior has be re-designed for improved visibility. TSS includes lane departure alert with steering assist, dynamic radar cruise control, a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, and automatic high beams.
