Caputo Vows To Play Saturday
Badgers coach Paul Chryst said after practice Thursday that he expected the defensive captain to be available against Miami of Ohio. When all was said and done in this one, the back who finished with nearly 1,000 yards past year totaled just 16 yards on eight carries. The Badger are not only looking to win this Saturday, and to return to.500, but they are hoping to do it in a convincing fashion to erase any offensive and defensive doubts that were picked up last week in Tuscaloosa.

Chryst said he was disappointed in the end result of the game Saturday night. “So he was able to do quite a bit”.
“That has been energizing not just to our defense but to the team”. The redshirt senior left Wisconsin’s game against Alabama on September 5 after suffering a head injury on the third play of the game.
Aranda said the linebacker blew his gap assignment in the “A” gap on the play and Caputo had to “clean it up”.
Aranda also has the option of giving sophomore Lubern Figaro playing time.
Wisconsin went 7-0 at home past year.
He wore a “no contact” jersey at practice on Wednesday evening and said he meant to play in the opener at Camp Randall Stadium against Miami (Ohio). “Lubern has got a great outlook on it. He is fighting for it”.
Stave never completed a pass for over 23 yards, but in most games, hitting first and second level routes is all the offense should need him for. And I think that has helped him a lot.
“He knows it. He is working on it”.

If the Badgers open up a big lead, though, it will be interesting to see how the coaching staff manages arguably their most important players’ minutes. When asked this week about trying to handle double-team blocks on the inside at such a low weight for a nose tackle, Sheehy insisted his weight is up to 285 pounds… Notre Dame won in three overtimes, 29-26… However, Mid-American Conference opponents have typically provided a soft landing for Wisconsin, which hasn’t lost to a MAC foe since 1988 and is 30-2 all-time against the league.
