Liberals unveil strategy to create jobs for young Canadians in Sudbury

Trudeau’s pledge to ban tanker traffic from parts of the B.C. coastline was overshadowed by the announcement late Thursday that his candidate in the Vancouver-area riding of South Surrey-White Rock had quit over Facebook posts about marijuana and cancer.

“It is not federal government’s role to pick which rapid transit project is most suitable for Vancouver or other cities across the country”.

He said much of his plan revolves around summer work, which has demonstrated “tremendous effectiveness” in past.

The move puts the Liberals at odds with the Conservatives who favour a pipeline to the West Coast to move Alberta oil overseas to Asia-Pacific markets.

Trudeau said Liberal policy would be to control and regulate marijuana, because right now it is in the hands of organized criminals, street gangs and gun-runners.

Trudeau said his party would follow through on that promise if elected October. 19, but confused business owners with comments in an interview with the CBC, which aired Tuesday night, that seemed to suggest many were using the reduced tax rate to avoid paying their fair share of taxes. At the top of the Grind, a sweaty Trudeau joked that it was a “nice walk”, but not one he would want to do too often.

Added Ballem: “If we think it’s an appropriate setting and it’s not going to disrupt the public, we’re absolutely open to that”.
