In the women’s singles category, world No1 Serena took just 68 minutes to crush the 20-year-old Keys, while Venus, 35, triumphed 6-2, 6-1 in her earlier match – albeit in even less time, 52 minutes – against Estonia’s 19-year-old Anett Kontaveit.

The upcoming U.S. Open match on Tuesday between Serena Williams vs Venus Williams is going to be a closely watched sporting event. “I think people love to see history being made”, she said.

“The only player in the draw I don’t want to play, not only because she’s my sister, but for me she’s the best player”, Serena said of Venus, victor of seven Grand Slam titles.

According to the Independent, it will be “the first all-Williams clash in New York since they met at the same stage in 2008″.

“I don’t think anyone wants to be a spoiler”, she said.

Both sisters have been looking strong in their 2015 US Open performances, though. And it’s still super intense. Now Venus stands in her way, threatening to spoil the party. “So do I. It’s not easy”.

“I don’t think anyone wants to be a spoiler”. It seems that there are no better opponents than siblings. Serena will now be going to the quarterfinals as she faces off against her sister, Venus Williams, who is also doing very well at the Open.

‘I can’t see that as a rivalry between two siblings.

“I was a [jerk] a lot of the time, and I didn’t get a quarter of the criticism that she ever got”.

“We play a lot”.

In last year’s US Open Serena was victorious, storming her way to the final, where she eventually destroyed Caroline Wozniacki 6-3, 6-3.

A Wimbledon finalist in 2014, Bouchard suffered the injury on Friday when she slipped and fell in the locker room and had already pulled out of doubles and mixed doubles matches scheduled for Saturday. “It’s not possible. I would not be able to handle on the court”. “I have to deal with that pressure first”, Serena said. If she wins the US Open tennis 2015 she will become just the fourth woman to win all four grand slams in the same year. “Even though you’re playing your sister you have to be prepared and focus”.

Serena is in the process of rewriting the tennis history books as she closes in on a 22nd major title, a record seventh US Open and fourth in a row, and matching Steffi Graf’s achievement of winning all four in 1988.

French Open victor Stan Wawrinka, meanwhile, sealed his quarter-final place with a a 6-1, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory over American Donald Young, who had knocked out Slovenia-born Briton Aljaz Bedene in round two of the competition.
