New information in Hillary Clinton email scandal

At a press conference in March, Clinton said she had exchanged about 60,000 emails from her private email account during her stint in the Obama administration, among which about half were personal and thus deleted.

But the State Department said on Monday that about 150 more Clinton work emails have recently been designated as containing classified information.

Pagliano’s employment by the Clintons was confirmed by a campaign official in response to questions from The Washington Post. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter.

Sanders campaign spokesman Michael Briggs responded: “Bernie is doing more than attracting large crowds”.

Clinton said she was focused on other issues when she started the job.

Clinton’s arrangement, according to the Washington Post, ensured that taxpayer money wasn’t being spent on the server. Critics say the * a href=”https://foia.state.gov/Search/results.aspx?searchText=*&beginDate=&endDate=&publishedBeginDate=20150522&publishedEndDate=20150522&caseNumber=” rel=”nofollow” *emails were not secure and exposed potentially sensitive materials to hackers, while also accusing her of violating state department protocol and evading government oversight.

I am very confident that by the time this campaign has run its course people will know that what I’ve been saying is accurate”, Clinton told MSNBC.

Pagliano listed the initial payment on financial disclosures he filed in April 2009 but did not catalog the continuing income in required filings in later years. The State Department has largely refused to answer questions on whether Pagliano’s situation was an open secret within the agency.

There are multiple congressional inquiries into Clinton’s e-mail use, and the FBI is looking into the security of the setup.

“Whatever their original goal, the Select Committee’s leaders appear no longer to have any interest in Benghazi, except as the tragic events of that day may be used as a cudgel against the likely Democratic nominee for president“, he wrote. They may want to be careful about it, though, because at some point prosecutors may offer Pagliano immunity on the disclosure violations … and he may take it.

State Department employees are forbidden from discussing any classified material in unsecured email, which includes the official state.gov email system.

‘There was so much work to be done.

Clinton, the Democratic front-runner ahead of the November 2016 presidential election, did not apologise for her own behaviour but said she was wrong not to use a government e-mail account when she was serving as the nation’s top diplomat.

Clinton knows that the journalists following her to the United States island territory of Puerto Rico are less concerned, for now, with the candidate’s detailed proposals to improve the economy or fight climate change. Clinton said the lawyers “went through every single e-mail” and “were overly inclusive” in deciding what to hand over to the department, which is releasing batches of thousands of messages on a monthly basis in accordance with a judge’s order. The system had crashed for days during Hurricane Sandy in October 2012, disrupting her e-mail abilities. A Clinton aide last week called Pagliano an “utter professional and a wonderful young man who does not live in the public eye and understandably may not wish to be drawn into a political spectacle”.
