In a chat on UFC Tonight, Dana said that Rousey is the biggest star in the UFC due to her massive star power in the present.

If Ronda Rousey can be in Roadhouse, why can’t these WWE Superstars and Divas star in their own 80s movies? “They’re all going to be watching on TV and supporting me”.

The 28-year-old mixed martial artist-turned-actress is set to step into the role Patrick Swayze made famous in the 80s cult classic, in which he played a bouncer in a bar. “I promise to work incessantly to make sure this project is a tribute his family and fans can be proud of”, Rousey said on Twitter.

‘I’ve lived in Melbourne for the good part of 25 years of my life and I finally move to LA, which is so close to Vegas… and now she has to have a huge fight in Melbourne’.

Question is, will she be down for a remake of the sequel, Road House 2: Last Call? “The worst thing that happens is I’ll really disgrace the name of Swayze and ‘Road House, ‘ and everyone will hate me”.

Fans are eagerly awaiting Rousey to show off her incredible fighting skills and stunts in the highly-anticipated film reboot.

Rousey apparently contacted Swayze’s widow, Lisa Niemi to ask her for her blessing. Rousey has had some minor roles in recent films, including The Expendables 3 and Furious 7, but this will be her largest role to date.

Luckily, the California native has some time to brush up on her acting skills, as Road House won’t begin filming until the end of 2016.
