Their party favors were box cutters.

Casale had previously played the terrorism card with his satirical Jihad Jerry and the Evildoers project.

Box cutters were used as weapons by the 9/11 hijackers because at the time you could take them on airplanes.

Visitors informed TMZ nobody appeared offended, as they understand the couple has a wierd humorousness. “Our family just celebrated the Jewish holiday last night for the 14th year without him at the table”.

Being that Saturday was 9/11, the couple chose to have a wedding built around the theme of September 11, 2001 and the attack on the World Trade Center.

According to TMZ, the rock star married Krista Napp at a Santa Monica restaurant on the 14th anniversary of the terrorist attacks, and remembrances of that day were prevalent throughout their entire ceremony.

Devo, which Casale co-founded with his late brother Bob, and Mark and Bob Mothersbaugh, are famous for their quirky brand of humor with songs like “Whip It” and “Through Being Cool”.

Their friends didn’t seem fazed by the questionable theme, reports TMZ, which also published photos from the party. The post-punk group’s name, after all, is short for “de-evolution”.
