Motorola launches Moto X Play, priced at Rs 18499

In concordance with Phandroid, before the end of 2015, the Moto X Play will be released as the Motorola Droid Maxx 2 and it will be sold by Verizon Wireless. This smartphone targets at the entertainment enthusiasts in the country. Buying the Moto X Play can get you an e-gift voucher worth Rs 1000, a free movie voucher worth Rs 500, travel vouchers of up to Rs 5000 and more. The only minus point is that these are made from plastic and are devoid of a premium feel. Though the phone does not exude premiumness, it isn’t a bad looking phone either. Given the fact that it comes with thin bezels the Moto X Play has a respectable body to screen ratio. The Moto X Force will reportedly be priced that about $620 and the Droid Turbo 2 is likely to be offered at around the same price. In comparison to the Moto X 2014, the Moto X Play is 25 grams heavier and 0.9 mm thicker. The volume rocker and screen lock button have been provided on the right edge, which are quite thin. That works out to a pixel density of 403ppi. For most purposes Normal mode is fine, displaying realistic colors. The Moto X Play comes with changeable back covers and the default one sports a rubberized finish and a texture to enhance the grip. The other specifications of the phone include the 21 MP rear camera and 5 MP front facing camera, 32 GB or 64 GB internal memory or storage. It manages to do a decent job. On the software front, it runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
