He is thought to have been left in the bus all day.

Hun-Joon Lee, also known as Paul to family and friends, never returned from school after he was picked up by his school bus. Drivers and attendants are reportedly required to do head counts at the conclusion of routes.

It was not clear how long the student had been on the bus.

Pupil Transportation Cooperative is a public agency formed in 1984 that buses students to seven school districts in Southeast Los Angeles County.

“This tragedy has devastated all of us… our hearts are with our student’s parents and family – we’re all grieving”. They added that he was unable to communicate his needs. She said he was non-verbal and needs explicit instructions from adults.

The school district officials said the case is under review.

Police are calling the death suspicious, but they don’t know yet how he died. “That’s when the bus driver walked to the bus yard and that’s when he discovered the student”. “I hope what happened to Hun Joon becomes an opportunity for people to give more attention and love to children with disabilities”.

The family has established a GoFundMe account to help with funeral costs. Inside the bus was about 120-130 degrees and Paul was trapped in there for nearly nine hours without a single drop of water.
