U.S. inflation watch … FedEx will increase shipping rates from January
FedEx has witnessed a drop in share price since June, and we have yet to see any sign of a recovery so far.

The number of short positions on FedEx has dropped by 6.4% since the company revealed its fourth-quarter numbers in June. FedEx projects earnings per share for fiscal 2016 in the band of $10.60 to $11.10. The firm’s 50-day moving average is $160.40 and its 200-day moving average is $169.79.
FedEx Corporation (NYSE:FDX) traded with a cut of -1.2 points or -0.79% at $149.88 per share.
In a research note released to the investors, Deutsche Bank maintains its rating on FedEx Corporation (NYSE:FDX).The analysts at the brokerage house have a current rating of Buy on the shares. The business earned $12.10 billion during the quarter, compared to the consensus estimate of $12.31 billion. The firm has a market capitalization of $42.45 billion and a PE ratio of 41.18. Shareholders of record on Thursday, September 10th will be issued a $0.25 dividend.
The Fed’s preferred measure of inflation, “core” PCE, is now running at around 1.2% per year, well below its 2% target.

The European Union antitrust is still reviewing FedEx’s takeover offer for TNT, and an answer will be given by January 2016. FedEx Services provides FedExs other companies with sales, marketing, information technology, communications, customer service and certain other back-office support.
