Grand Theft Auto makers slam BBC drama as ‘random, made up bo****ks’
But despite the drama stating that it had been made without Rockstar’s authorization, the company made its feelings known quickly, and clearly.

The Game Changers tells the story of Daniel Radcliffe’s Sam Houser, the British co-founder of Rockstar Media, who went up against Christian lawyer Jack Thompson (Bill Paxton) who believed that video games were too blame for violence in children. I know for a fact though that I would watch the shit out of Rockstar vs. Basil Brush.
The film focuses on the period between GTA: Vice City and its sequel GTA: San Andreas, when Thompson filed a number of lawsuits against various parties – including GTA publisher Take Two Interactive, Sony Computer Entertainment, and Wal-Mart.
That Rockstar isn’t best pleased with the docudrama comes as no surprise.
However, the best of all was what came from the official Twitter profile of Rockstar Games itself.
“We have attempted multiple times to resolve this matter with the BBC without any meaningful resolution”. “It is our obligation to protect our intellectual property, and unfortunately in this case litigation was necessary”.

As if it wasn’t weird enough that the BBC were making a feature drama about the Houser brothers and the birth of 3D Grand Theft Auto. “Going very well”. The company ended up having no involvement with the drama.
