‘Super Mario Bros.’ celebrates 30th birthday

So when you search for “Super Mario Bros” on Google, it will come up with its usual page, with the game info picked up from Wikipedia appearing on the right.

Everyone who has played “Super Mario Bros.” will immediately remember that this Easter egg references Mario’s actions when hitting the floating question boxes in the game. The new video game title takes gaming to a new “level”, literally allowing gamers to create their own levels and worlds for others to navigate through.

At the moment, Miyamoto has yet to create any courses for Super Mario Maker, though he promises to “definitely post something” in the future.

The character had earlier made an appearance in the Nintendo arcade game “Donkey Kong“, but under the name Jumpman.

However, Will seems to disagree a bit, coming at the game with much more skeptical and critical eyes than this hardcore Nintendo fan was.

As Mario turns 30 this month, Nintendo releases Super Mario Maker to commemorate the game play. The game is one of the most iconic platforms where players first got to stomp on koopas and goombas.

Since its release, Mario has gained widespread notoriety across the globe, with Nintendo selling more than 310 million units featuring the mustachioed Italian plumber. There was a simple explanation for his cap too – the designers initially lacked the technology to make his hair move.

To mark this milestone of successful 3 decades, Nintendo is going to release “Super Mario Maker” using which the players will be able to create their own versions of Mario world.
