The biggest mover is Carson, who was about even with Kasich in polls earlier this month. He recently cast doubt on the real estate mogul’s religious faith, questioning his “fear of the Lord”.

Trump also questioned Carson’s commitment to the anti-abortion movement.

Trump, who has made a practice in public appearances and interviews of listing those he says have wronged him, told the crowd that he doesn’t think Carson could negotiate effectively with world leaders.

“This is the first time I have heard a presidential candidate speak about something that is really important and has gotten out of control”, said Mario DiPasquale.

Trump has drawn heavy criticism over his call to deport all undocumented immigrants.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is still the top pick for Democratic-leaning voters, with 42 percent. But that is rapidly changing as a slew of Republican aspirants – including Bush, Sen.

But the fortunes of Bush and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker have taken a tumble.

A new CBS News Battleground Tracker poll released on Sunday shows Trump leading the GOP field in each of the early primary and caucus states – and holding an especially large lead in New Hampshire. That’s the view of 81 percent of Iowa Republicans and 59 percent of New Hampshire Republicans, with 10 percent and 20 percent, respectively, saying Congress has not compromised enough. Ted Cruz (Texas) and Marco Rubio (Fla.) at 7 percent apiece. In South Carolina though, Clinton continues well ahead of Sanders at 46 percent compared to 23 percent. But Trump has gained among somewhat conservative voters, leading Carson 32 percent to 17 percent; and he leads Kasich among moderate Republicans likely to vote, 29 percent to 19 percent.

“Look, I think that at the end of the day each candidate is going to be accountable for their own words and their own mouths and so they should proceed with caution”, Priebus told Jake Tapper of CNN, which will be broadcasting the second GOP debate on Wednesday.

“What you see going on here is that she has very solid coalition of moderate-type Democrats plus non-white voters that someone like Sanders or anybody from her left flank would have to overcome in order to cut into her vote share”.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal declared this week that, “Trump is a narcissist and an egomaniac.” Sen. By comparison, only 56 percent of those Evangelicals said they were favorable toward Trump.

Trump’s support rested on his blunt and often excoriating approach to the race – an approach that has confounded political insiders – and particularly on his tough talk about illegal immigration, a subject that has ricocheted through California politics for two decades and helped weaken the state Republican Party.
