Cloud Sherpas itself has been getting bigger over the last few years, namely through acquisitions of its own such as CloudTrigger and a merger with cloud computing integrator Global One.

Cloud Sherpas employs more than 1,100 professionals across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The division delivers cloud services for Google, NetSuite, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday and other “pure play” technologies.

Accenture is expanding its cloud consultancy business by agreeing to acquire global advisory firm Cloud Sherpas for an undisclosed sum. Cloud Sherpas also has Fullforce Masters designations in Service Cloud, Sales Cloud and Financial Services from Salesforce.

According to an announcement by Accenture on Tuesday, the acquisition will bring cloud strategy, technology consulting, and application management, integration and management services to its newly formed Accenture Cloud First Applications team.

“We’ve reached a tipping point in cloud as our clients rapidly adopt cloud solutions”, said Paul Daugherty, Accenture’s chief technology officer.

Accenture aims to improve its cloud services offerings to enterprises.
