National Football League honors Mariota’s performance

Rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota shined in his debut against Tampa Bay, tossing four touchdowns en route to a 42-14 thumping of the Bucs.

The buzz surrounding the team is palpable after Mariota and the Titans dominated the Buccaneers. But second-year offensive lineman Taylor Lewan would like the national media to remain quiet about the same team they’ve completely ignored in recent years.

Lewan is pumping the brakes on the hype.

“We flipped from Browns -1 to Titans -1 based on the sheer volume of wagers coming in on Tennessee”, Stewart told Covers.

Let’s hope into the WABAC machine and take a look at the five best games of all-time between the two franchises. That perception started to change after they selected Mariota in the 2015 National Football League draft. He was also looked at as a gimmick quarterback in an offense that would not have enough fuel to top No. 1 pick Jameis Winston in the season opener.

“I think just going off one win, people all of a sudden want to say the Titans are back”, Lewan said. “We just have to focus in on some of the things he is not as good at, not as proficient at, and continue to work on those techniques”. “Let us establish something”.

The outspoken Lewan is thrilled to have Mariota leading the potential revival of the Titans. But there needs to be adjustments made, whether in play calling or offensive line assignments, to allow the run game to make a mark against the Titans.
