Jason Bourne would kick the s- out of Batman-absolutely!”

Matt is now in the middle of filming the fifth Bourne instalment. However, don’t expect to see Batman v Bourne in theatres any time soon. “Batman’s gotta take on Superman first”, he joked. Bold words, but all in good fun.

The movie will be Damon’s first Bourne adventure since 2007’s The Bourne Ultimatum, and will reflect our current technology-dependent and surveillance-obsessed culture, with Bourne’s story beginning in Greece, travelling through Europe and ending up in Las Vegas during the annual DEF CON hacker convention. He said: “I haven’t been like, ‘Come on, dude, just do it once.’ I haven’t asked him to talk Batman yet, but now maybe I will”. Beyond curious. While the previous Batman films focused on Batman in his younger years, the DC Extended Universe is giving audiences a Batman thats been operating for over two decades, making him more grizzled and battle-worn.

Stand by for Damon’s reaction to Batffleck’s voice in the coming months. He also addressed that he would not be open to portraying other superhero roles as well, saying that “I think they’re kind of out of superheroes, Jason Bourne is my superhero”. “But I think only in that way, because you need to understand where Batman is with everything”.

But back to the important stuff. It’s interesting because Batman’s a man and Superman’s a god, if you think about it in those terms.

We’re not sure that Damon won’t become a superhero at some point down the road, but until then, we’ll TOTALLY settle for another Bourne movie – which happens to be due out July 29, 2016!
