Apple delays watchOS 2 release due to bug
Apple pulled the plug on today’s anticipated Apple WatchOS 2 release after the discovery of a bug. According to Apple, WatchOS 2 would let users set pictures as their watch face, and would introduce a multitude of new native apps to the wearable.

Ahead of this imminent arrival, the firm has already started releasing third-party app updates that take advantage of the new features in each software update. Last year, the company held back the debut of its health-monitoring application because of problems it discovered prior to its release.
The iPhone’s anticipated iOS 9 update will still roll out on time.
Fitness apps will make full use of the accelerometer, for example, while you’ll also be able to reply to contacts with audio messages through WatchOS 2.
USA Today’s Ed Baig, who broke the news, said that the second iteration of the Apple Watch software will not arrive today.
When Apple Watch owners were asked whether they’d recommend their new device to a friend or colleague, a robust 83% say they’re Very (55%) or Somewhat Likely (28%) to do so.
Apple did not mention what kind of WatchOS 2 bug the team found unfortunately, but said that the delay should be short. Originally, only Apple complications could be displayed on the Watch running the original Watch OS. That update is available starting at 1 p.m. New York time.

For added functionality between the Watch and the iPhone, Apple has improved on the connectivity of Watch. Apple CEO Tim Cook is also cautious about disclosing any sales information in order to prevent competitors from getting ahead. The watchOS 2, when released will give users the ability to access WiFi networks other than from their iPhone.
