NBC orders Law & Order reality spin-off, where viewers vote on the verdict
Law & Order: You The Jury will also be live, as NBC continues its attempt to grow the popularity of DVR-proof entertainment. Because theyve already tried everything else, so why not get weird with it?

The interactive programme will let the audience take part in determining the verdict of real-life legal cases which are played out on a live TV courtroom. (Don’t expect any murder trials.) The audience will also be prompted to engage in the proceedings throughout the hour, chiming in on veracity of witnesses and persuasiveness of evidence. Im somewhat surprised that this is falling under the Law & Order brand and not Carmen Sandiego. Wolf Reality and Magical Elves produce the hit TNT non-fiction series Cold Justice as well as the spinoff Cold Justice Sex Crimes.
Thankfully, a show being in development at NBC doesn’t necessarily mean that the show will ever happen, so there’s still a chance that our legal system could be saved from the insatiable maw of reality television-or at least there was, because NBC just gave Law & Order: You The Jury a series order. You cant say the guy isnt full of perseverance. At A&E, Wolf Reality has had docu-series Nightwatch and Dead Again.

Wolf previously explored the subject matter in the scripted spinoff Law & Order: Trial By Jury. Beyond the obvious Saturday Night Live, the network is making Season 3 of Undateable completely live following the success of the live episode in Season 2. The project, which was sold to the network in May, also features a new title: “Law & Order: You the Jury”.
