Instead of the eye-watering 4GB of RAM, we’re instead presented with only 2GB of RAM for the HTC One A9, which is still a decent amount of memory for a smartphone in 2015, but is far from the powerhouse we were expecting. Last week, the HTC One A9 was also reportedly benchmarked by GeekBench which incidentally revealed a handful of details about its specifications. This is different from what we heard before in which the rumors claimed it would be powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 chipset.

Previously, this device which is similar to iPhone 6 made its hands on appearance in China, showing the back panel of the HTC Aero. He also hints that the One A9 will run the more recent Sense 7 UI on top of the Android M operating platform.

Finally, when the HTC One A9 passed through Geekbench, it scored 5884 in multi core testing and 1835 in single core. Blass says the HTC One A9 is 7mm thick, built with a metal enclosure for a premium feel, and will be available in six unnamed color options.

The metal-clad HTC One A9 will also offer a good competition in the mid-range smartphone market since it will come with a fingerprint scanner and expandable storage. Some speculate that HTC is trying to upstage this since it will hold its own press event on that same day.

Once the Android 6.0 Marshmallow rolls out to the Nexus devices, it is expected that the firmware update will be released to the latest smartphones and tablets of Samsung, Motorola, LG, and HTC before the rest of the Android phone makers get it. There is belief that HTC Aero A9 will make its official debut during the said event. Let us know with your comments.
