To enrich the superb sound of the JBL PRO system, the Ferrari sports cars will also feature QuantumLogic Surround, which gives audio tracks a controlled sound quality by introducing revolutionary new audio algorithms to extract signal streams and impulse responses from the original recording.
Ferrari has unveiled their latest open-top V8, the 488 Spider.
The 488 Spider will be powered by the same 3.9-litre turbocharged V8 producing 660 hp and 760 Nm of torque.
Beautifully executed, the Ferrari 488 Spider upholds the legacy of its predecessor, the classic 308 GTS, while offering spectacular performance, handling and exhileration for anyone lucky enough to get behind the wheel.
Underneath the retractable hardtop, the 488 Spider chassis is made of 11 different aluminium alloys combined with other noble metals such as magnesium, each one used in a highly specific way.
The roof itself folds backwards in two overlapping sections to rest flush on the engine in a very compact solution. Roof up or down, the 488 will top out at 203mph, yet Ferrari claims 24.7mpg and Carbon dioxide emissions of 260g/km.
Beneath the skin, the Ferrari 488 Spider is almost mechanically identical to the potent 488 GTB coupe.
The manufacturer has also fitted an electric glass rear wind stop, which can be adjusted to three positions.

As well as being Ferrari’s fastest-ever Spider, the 488 is claimed to be the most aerodynamically efficient drop-top from the brand. Some of the features include a blown spoiler and an aerodynamic underbody incorporating vortex generators. While the coupe has this licked in 8.3 seconds, the convertible takes 0.4 seconds longer with a time of 8.7 seconds (still an incredibly impressive time in isolation). The technicians and engineers worked on the magnetorheological dampers to guarantee maximum sportiness without compromising on comfort, while the new SSC2 Side Slip Angle Control system also makes it easier for non-professional drivers to drive on the limit.
