Head teacher waived the late fine on book which soared up to $6000 as it was returned after 100 years
What was the largest time duration for which you have paid a late fine on a book taken from the school library – I swear it could not be 100 years.

But recently a book which had been issued in the year 1914 – got returned to its place on 20th October of this year (after 100 years).
According to the report, the book was issued on the name of Albert Chambers, who died in 1965, but recently his grandchildren found the book under attic of their old home.
They then decided to return the property to its right place.
They even apologized for the late return of the book.
Head teacher Mark Simpson was so glad to get the book back he waived the 12p a day fine which had soared to $6,000.
