Brash-talking Bills spill their dislike toward AFC East rival Patriots

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has been in the NFL for five-plus years now, but opposing coaches have yet to figure out how to stop him on the football field. “Our fans are into it. I have a feeling they’re going to be into this one”. “Let’s just be honest about it now”. “Put it out there”. “I’m not gonna mention names”, Ryan told reporters in Buffalo.

Tom Brady didn’t sound all too enamored with Rex Ryan’s admitted attempts to get inside his head to try and get him off his game during the past.

The Bills have won just three of the 28 meetings with the Patriots since Brady became New England’s quarterback in 2001. QB Aaron Rodgers finished with three touchdown passes, two of which went to newly-signed WR James Jones.

This game is the real test to see if this Bills team is different from years past. At 6-foot-3 and 331 pounds, he has emerged as one of the NFL’s top defensive tackles because of his combination of size and speed. “It’s a different year, and we’ll see who’s King of the Mountain at the end of this season”. “Certainly on defense, they’ve got one of the best defenses in the league, a lot of top guys at a lot of positions, and we’re going to have to play really well”. “We don’t fear anybody. In fact we’re looking forward to it”.

And yet, Ryan made it clear that beating Belichick would be more meaningful than most any other regular-season win. “We’re not going to ask one guy to cover him”, Ryan said Wednesday, per ESPN. I mean yeah, probably. The key to this game will be New England’s ability to pick up Buffalo’s aggressive blitz packages.

“It doesn’t matter to me”.

“We just have to go out there and play the game”, said wide receiver Sammy Watkins. “He is obviously a great coach”.

“It’s a great challenge”, Brady said. “To know that the Buffalo Bills, they committed to me, like I have been committed to them“.

A potential problem for those optimistic Bills fans is that Tom Brady is coming to town this Sunday.

The crowd might be even louder at Ralph Wilson Stadium on Sunday, though Belichick isn’t overly concerned.

“They’re kind of the hunted in my eyes”, Ryan said, “because they’re the world champions”. ESPN ran his full news conference live on Wednesday morning – 20-plus minutes.

Now that the Bills need a roster spot, Brown finds himself out of a job. And if they beat us, they beat us.

NOTES: Ryan did not update the status of injured safety Corey Graham. And again, tremendous amount of respect for Rex in terms of how he’s always played and called his defenses.

Tyrod: Key is be prepared for the wrinkles
