More Than A Dozen Cosby Accusers Speak Out In A&E Special

Nearly a year after women started coming out of the woodwork, the A&E cable channel is planning to air a special that consists of interviews with some of his accusers.

New York magazine ran a story on these accusers in July, telling many of their stories inside the article.

As the hour proceeds, certain details pop up again and again: Cosby luring a woman in under the excuse of an acting lesson, suggesting that as part of the Method Acting theory, she should try to appear drunk, and to help her along, offering her a cappuccino laced with a narcotic.

Cosby: The Women Speak airs Thursday on A&E at 9 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time. First-hand accounts from the women themselves help examine the allegations, decade by decade to reveal new information and insight into the case. During the special, the women will tell their stories, why they felt the need to come forward and how they’ve been dealing with the backlash from not only Cosby, but public opinion. New allegations leveled against the performer are bringing even more misconduct to the forefront.

The program will include interviews with more than one dozen women, including actress Louisa Moritz, publicist Joan Tarshis and model Beverly Johnson.

Bill Cosby has been accused of drugging women, sexual assault, unwanted advances and molestation of a number of young women. Throughout the course of the program, all of the women will get a chance to share exactly what happened to them. The show will also touch on Cosby’s way to fame amidst the allegations.

Many, however, have been very vocal in their support of Cosby, including Damon Wayans, who stated that the accusations against Cosby were simply a “money hoax,” as reported in an earlier Inquisitr article.

Cosby: The Women Speak, airing Thursday night, is an intentionally simple production. Plus, viewers will get a chance to see how not only the spokespeople, but also the lawyers for Cosby have responded to all of the accusations and fall out from the performance and media firestorm.
