Terrifying video shows a pod of killer whales chasing a fishing boat
Despite being a fearsome predator in the ocean, orcas are known to be social and there are numerous instances of humans having close encounters with the whales.

A video showing a pod of killer whales chasing a boat has gone viral, reports The Huffington Post.
The two men were spearfishing on a six-metre fishing boat on September 10 when they noticed something break the surface of the water in the distance.
In the video’s description, Ben said that he saw the animals but couldn’t determine exactly what they were until they approached the boat. Fortunately, the whales did not attempt to flip the boat, and the men made it back to land safely.
The video comes not long after a group of whale-watchers recorded a pod of orcas, with some babies, off the coast of Orange County. There were also occasions when they were seen swimming just beside them.
A fishermen’s boat was chased by a pod of about 30 killer whales in the San Diego Bay last Thursday.
At several times during the video as well, the fishermen show concern as they exclaim that even though at top speed, the orcas are still “right under them” and able to keep up.
