Switch from Android to iOS is Apple’s first app for Google’s platform
Instead of Apple Music, the Cupertino company has infiltrated the confines of Google Play in an effort to convince Android users to migrate to iOS. Google has been making software for iPhones for just about as long as there have been iPhones.

Apple first announced the new Android app this year alongside iOS 9 at its developer conference, and today with iOS 9’s official launch the Move to iOS app is officially available on the Google Play Store. Users of iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch can now upgrade their devices over-the-air to iOS 9 by downloading the firmware as a standalone file. The phone also won’t check for new mail or update content for apps in the background as often.
It’s a free app available now from the Play Store, and it works with any Android device (phone or tablet) running Android 4.0 or newer. Some of the criticism is also directed towards the fact that this app does not adhere to Android design standards, having chosen to stick to iOS guidelines. After all it does seem rather brazen of Apple to walk into “enemy territory” and hawk their products, right?
If you want to transfer your Chrome bookmarks, update to the latest version of Chrome on your Android device. Indeed, you’re not likely to find a “Move to Android” or similar app in Apple’s App Store because mentioning a competitor runs afoul of the developer guidelines.
Apple iOS 9 is ready for downloads and here’s how you can install it. As soon as you open your Apple smartphone with the iOS 9, you are brought to an entirely new search experience with a search panel that scans your email, apps, sports, photo library and more. Your device will be backed up, and the OS update will begin to download.
