Lane Bryant’s #PlusIsEqual Campaign Fights for Fair Representation for Women
Today, we found out that ad is part of Lane Bryant’s fall campaign, one that aims to celebrate women of all shapes and sizes.

And they were seen, indeed. First we had Madeline Stuart, a model with Down syndrome, make her NYFW debut at the Hendrik Vermuelen Spring 2016 show.
The campaign originally drew attention after it was revealed that the only full-figured models in Vogue’s 832 page-September issue were in the paid-for ad.
The #PlusIsEqual campaign, created by branding creative agency- Laird+Partners, kicks off with a series of TV ads and photographs featuring top models Candice Huffine, Ashley Graham, Precious Victoria Lee, Georgia Pratt, Justine Legault and Sabina Karlsson, dressed in the brand’s, beautifully designed Fall ’15 collection.
With #PlusIsEqual Campaign, the plus size community rejoiced because now there’s something that will represent them. “A lot of times, I’ve had to have things custom-made or adjusted to [my clients’] needs so that the fit will be a proper fit”.

Some designers may be coming under fire for using stick-thin models on their runways in New York but some of the most famous plus-size models rallied together in the city to promote diversity in the fashion industry.
