Claudio Ranieri is using a delicious method to motivate his players

Despite their impressive start, Leicester are yet to keep a Premier League clean sheet this season, but Ranieri believes he has found the flawless incentive for his side.

The 42-year-old had been working as first-team coach at Leicester City, having taken up the role under Nigel Pearson after retiring from playing last summer and remained in place under his successor Claudio Ranieri. They have scored four goals in the 82nd minute or later against Tottenham, Borunemouth and Aston Villa to turn losing positions into two draws and a victory. “Beware, because it’s a hard match on Saturday for us”, Ranieri said.

The Foxes may have got off to a brilliant start in the Premier League, but Ranieri insists there are still areas in which they need to improve. “I prefer to get in front and stay there than have to keep giving ourselves a problem”.

“But of course my knowledge is important”. Offering them pizza if they record a clean sheet against Stoke on Saturday.

In contrast to City, Stoke have started the season poorly but Ranieri has warned his players to expect a stiff test at the Britannia Stadium. But Stoke have very good quality players.

‘I don’t know if it’s the best moment to play Stoke. ‘When you change something it is hard to start well. Now, in the future, you don’t know.

“The defeat is behind the corner”. ‘I hope everybody is good to play Saturday. We have to be very focused, concentrated and motivated’.

The winger, on loan from Swansea, has received the all-clear from the club’s medical staff after suffering a heavy blow to the head in a collision with Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan as he headed the winning goal on his first Foxes appearance from the bench.
