Persona 5 delayed to summer 2016

Persona 5 will be available on PS4 and PS3.

In spite of what the Atlus website formerly forecast, it was never very likely we’d see Persona 5 this year.

The firm said it delayed the game in order to make sure the next iteration of the Persona series “lives up to the expectations of fans”. And until then, we have that drop-dead stylish trailer to watch.

Plenty of gameplay footage of the protagonist and his friends, in and out of school, as well a few of the Personas we can expect to command.

Persona 5 also introduces a physical training component. And unlike the previous game, which took place in a small Japanese town, Persona 5 is set in a big, busy city.

There’s no hint as to how long this will delay the European release, but you’ve got to assume it won’t be until at least late 2016. The new trailer shows a character testing their skills at a baseball batting cage and practicing with a training dummy, likely boosting their stats as a result. However John Hardin, PR Manager for Atlus United States of America , claimed otherwise in an interview with God Is A Geek last month when asked about when the next game in the series could be expected in Europe (which usually ends up being the last territory to see a Persona game release officially).
