With the new Move to iOS app, users can wirelessly switch from an Android device to a new iOS device at ease. The Move to iOS app in the Google Play store will transfer some data from Android phones running version 4.0 and up to newer iPhones, iPods, and iPads running iOS 9. The latest version of iOS supports iPhone 4S and above, iPad 2 and above, all iPad mini models, and iPod touch fifth-generation. iOS 9 brings a slew of new features promising better battery life, poweful search and improved security.

The easiest way to update your device is wirelessly. When it’s available, the Settings app should appear with a red “1” notification, letting you know you have software ready to download.

After the announcement of the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus last week, Apple has announced that it will release its latest operating system tonight. But just in case you were looking for an app like this, Apple is here to tell you that it does exist.

It might be a bit presumptuous to assume that Android users will want to switch to iOS in the first place, but when you actually think about it, not really.

According to Engadget, the Move to iOS app transfers messages, contacts, images, calendar entries, mail accounts and other information from an Android device to a compatible Apple device. The new app was intended to give people another option if they were not happy with Android or had to move to iPhone for work reasons. There’s also Picture in Picture, which is exactly what it sounds like, and a new split-screen multitasking feature that’ll let you run two apps side by side.
