In spite of what the Atlus website formerly forecast, it was never very likely we’d see Persona 5 this year.

Remember a time when Atlus was adamant that Persona 5 would release across both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in 2015? But the Tokyo Game Show has been kicked off today, so Atlus have been a little more forthcoming than in the last couple of months.
You can check out the visually stunning trailer below.
The new footage shows off the big city setting of Persona 5 with a cast chock-full of stylish teens, attending school by day and fighting demons by night.
Original report: Persona 5, which had been set to launch this year, will now arrive in Japan in the summer of 2016, with releases in the United States and Europe potentially even later. Nothing has really been said about it since E3 in June, when it was confirmed that it would release in North America before the end of 2015.
The bad news is the game’s also been delayed until summer 2016. There’s certainly a lot of variety packed into four minutes!
A new gameplay trailer was released alongside the announcement, demonstrating numerous new elements this entry is introducing to the series.
