Slovenia later stopped all passenger train traffic on the main line from Croatia through the border point, and police stepped up checks near Dobova, using a helicopter as well foot patrols.
The police said they would make a statement later on Thursday. He said it was “unacceptable” and proved that Croatia would not be ready to join the Schengen zone for several more years, Reuters reported. He suggested it will transfer them to the borders, primarily to the Hungarian border.
Earlier, Slovenia has said it would reintroduce border control with Hungary and informed the European Commission that starting Thursday its border will be closed for at least 10 days.
Refugees have tried to break through the Croatian border in Serbia, as Pravda.Ru reported.
Hundreds of migrants entered Croatia from Serbia on Wednesday after Hungary sealed its border to them.
Croatian Foreign Minister Vesna Pusic said Croatia could not handle tens of thousands migrants after the arrival of more than 1,000 migrants on Wednesday.
Despite the setbacks those on board were clear about where they are headed.
Meanwhile, Hungary started building another razor-wire fence overnight, this time along a stretch of its border with Croatia to keep migrants from entering the country there. He appealed to the European Union to step in and help.
He said Europeans have nothing to fear from people like himself.
“What we are emphasizing is that refugees and migrants need protection, our solidarity, compassion and respect”.
