Konami stops all AAA console production, except for PES
Over the past few years, video game developer Konami has undergone some drastic changes and now, rumors have surfaced stating that the company will no longer produce AAA game titles.

This didn’t stop Konami from kicking up a fuss with Kojima though, which is possibly what led to their initial fallout. “Well, I need to find another AAA game company”. As the dust settles, we can finally remember that Konami haven’t been the most likeable publisher in the world recently.
Konami believes its Pro Evolution Soccer series can overtake EA Sports’ Federation Internationale de Football Association in terms of presentation and visuals within “a couple of years” and that it is “definitely catching up”.
Work on Metal Gear Online will be completed before its release date on October 6, but after that we may not be seeing any more of the likes Metal Gear or Silent Hill on console.
A new report claims that Konami has ceased production on all console titles except for the Pro Evolution Soccer series.
Julien Merceron, the Worldwide Technology Director for Konami, has quit the company.
The report initially came in from a French website and has since been corroborated by Eurogamer.

PCGamesN reached out to Konami for comment, but with TGS in full swing and the Japanese bank holiday being observed, the publisher’s now unavailable to respond with an official statement. It’s likely that fans won’t like this new development either, which will hurt the company’s reputation.
