When the train was searched, a number of migrants were found on board, with one unconscious and one injured, the company said in a statement.
Their efforts to gain access to U.K.-destined trucks or the train services that run under the English Channel have led to 16 deaths since June according to French medical organization Medecins du Monde, as well as massive delays on roads leading to the tunnel.
A person believed to be a Syrian refugee has died after being electrocuted at the French entrance to the Channel Tunnel in Calais.
The emergency services arrived at the scene and took the two men into their care.
Eurotunnel, which operates the cross-channel link, said: “We deplore this event, which proves once again that any attempt to cross the Channel illegally carries considerable risks”. A one-minute silent lie-down will be held to mark the lost lives.
Many live in the infamous Jungle II camp on the outskirts of the French port town, which has become so large that it has its own church and school.
There are up to 5,000 migrants now camped out in and around Calais making nightly bids to reach Britain.
The situation in Calais comes as Europe struggles to cope with the huge numbers of people heading north from the Mediterranean. “The authorities later confirmed the death of one of the migrants”.
Eurotunnel says that 2,000 intrusions were being made every night in July but the number has now fallen to around 150.

It came after pressure to admit more people from the war-ravaged country following the publication of photographs of three-year-old Aylan Kurdi, who drowned with his mother and brother trying to cross from Turkey to Greece by boat. In Hastings, East Sussex, the borough council said it will be taking around 100 refugees – 20 per year – over the next five years.
