Thousands of Clinton’s Emails from Private Server ‘Might Not Be Erased

Despite what Republican presidential candidates may say, Hillary Clinton did not do anything illegal with her emails while Secretary of State.

“It’s malarky that the emails Clinton withheld were of a personal nature, ‘ he said, calling the digital trail she set up on her home-brew server ‘intertwined and indistinguishable” from official records that federal law requires the government to archive.

As she pursues the Democratic presidential nomination, Clinton has faced relentless questions and criticism regarding her use of a private email account for government business. At a news conference in March, Clinton disclosed that she had provided the department with 30,490 emails and deleted more than 31,000 others that she said were personal.

That process apparently did not happen, according to Platte River Networks, the Denver firm that has managed the system since 2013. I should have gone to the government email server given my role as Secretary of State.

Clinton has been an advocate of women’s rights during her campaign and throughout her political career. It is illegal to intentionally transmit classified information on unsecured channels, and some of the emails Clinton sent from her server have since been marked classified.

Judicial Watch had requested a court order from the judge to ensure that Clinton’s emails were being preserved.

The first batch of documents obtained by Judicial Watch contains a heavily redacted email from State Department official Eric F. Stein to Margaret P. Grafeld, dated April 21, 2015, with the subject “HRC Emails”.

That claim was debunked when the House committee investigating Benghazi discovered communications that had been sent to Mrs. Clinton by long-time aide Sydney Blumenthal, which touched on events in Libya. Correct the Record brings up quotes like those from State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf, who implied that Clinton’s server has not shown any sign yet of having been compromised. “I take responsibility and I’m trying to be as transparent as I possibly can”, Clinton told Muir in the interview. The news comes a day after the Justice Department filed a brief on Friday, September 11, that Clinton was within her legal right to delete emails she deemed personal from her email server.

“I always admired the people of this state“, Clinton said.

Yes, her use of a private email account was allowed and other secretaries of state have used them.

Then at the end of her time at the department, Clinton went for another month without sending a single email.

She has said that she sent and received about 60,000 emails during her four years in the Obama administration, about half of which were personal and deleted.

The State Department quickly pushed back on the newly unveiled timeline, which it said was based off an initial oversight.

But it took a couple of days before Hillary would apologize for the email situation to David Muir of ABC, and the brouhaha is far from over. However, I’ve become convinced that those are traits that Hillary Clinton is not especially capable of, not just as a leader, but as a public person.
