A Japanese tourist died Friday after suffering a heart attack while he was visiting India’s historic Taj Mahal monument, a senior police official said. The Taj Ganj police took him to the nursing home immediately after the incident. There are speculations that Ueda was already ill and fell after losing consciousness.

The victim, identified as H Ueda, had sustained serious injuries in the head during the fall on Thursday.

They visited the Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri before reaching the Taj Mahal. As per reports, the Japanese Embassy in New Delhi has been informed and an inquiry has been ordered into the death.

Selfies have been linked to several deaths in recent years, with Russian Federation combating the outbreak by launching a campaign aimed at youth to encourage them to think twice before snapping selfies in risky situations.
