You may be asking yourself, what the heck is a Robin?
While we haven’t yet gotten our hands on the Nextbit Robin, it’s definitely a bit different than most of the other smartphone offerings we’ve seen this year. With Verizon having recently got on board, Nextbit is introducing a flash sale starting Friday, September 18. A special distributer pack containing 20 phones and charging cables can be ordered for $6,950, for those willing to take a bet on the innovative smartphones. Nextbit will conduct a survey after the campaign ends on October 1, where backers who signed up for the smartphone program will be able to choose the carrier they want.
There won’t be any differences in the specs of the GSM and CDMA models. The handset has 3GB of RAM and is powered by the Snapdragon 808 chipset, which also includes a hexa-core CPU and the Adreno 412 GPU.
A Verizon-friendly Nextbit Robin is a big deal both for Nextbit and consumers. It supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, and features a fingerprint sensor in the power button on the right side. So far, the Nexbit Robin will be available in midnight or mint, two already unique colors.

The shipments should start in the first quarter of 2016.
