Rubio, punched Sen. Paul’s top adviser John Yob at Horn’s Bar on Mackinac Island Thursday night. “He literally physically assaulted me in the face”. But, though we still have no idea what may have motivated the alleged incident between Yob and Beeson, it seems unlikely that these headlines will help Rubio’s cause.

Yob said the incident was captured “on video, from multiple angles”.
“I am hereby calling on Marco Rubio to fire Rich Beeson effective immediately”, wrote Yob in a separate Facebook post.
– Hundreds of Republicans are gathering on Mackinac Island this weekend for the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference, which is held every year. The two men got into some sort of physical confrontation, and Yob took to Facebook today to accuse Beeson of hitting him.
Rubio is not attending, but his campaign has sent surrogates, including pawn shop reality TV star Rick Harrison of the History Channel show “Pawn Stars“.
Paul is expected to be on the island to speak at the conference; Rubio is not. It has been forwarded to the Mackinac County prosecutor for review. “By no means was it a brawl”, said the police chief.
When asked if it had any additional comment, Paul campaign spokesman Sergio Gor said: “Not at this time”.
He was hired for Paul’s campaign as national political director of its Michigan operation.
“Beeson missed a full-on shot but still struck Yob’s in the face with a powerful blow near the jaw”, he wrote.
But the local police chief, Brett Riccento, who has reviewed security video from inside Horn’s Gaslight bar, where the altercation took place, told The Post there’s no evidence of a punch in the face.
Beeson has an extensive background in political work and most recently helped work the Romney campaign in 2012.
According to Hall, Beeson was heard trying to “whip votes” on behalf of Sen.
The conference is set to begin Friday afternoon.
