Arsenal star Mesut Ozil is set to be the subject of a bid from Fenerbahce, reports the Daily Express.
“It is hard to predict in advance how Arsenal would respond”.
It may seem a fanciful proposition at first glance.
But there seems to be something tangible to the claims from Ozil’s agent.
It would be surprising if Arsene Wenger decided to let the World Cup victor to leave the Emirates Stadium.
In July, he was quoted in Sabah, another Turkish newspaper, saying: “In the future I want to wear a Fenerbahce shirt. Everyone knows I am a Fenerbahce fan”.

Landing Ozil would represent a completely different proposition entirely, though. The Serbia global has been one of the Blues’ best players in recent seasons, however he has not begun the current campaign with confidence and looks well below par.
Having done the job before, he would be in line to replace current boss Danny Blind if he leaves his role, but Saints want him to stay on the south coast to continue the stellar work he is doing at the club.

Ultimately, not only would Fenerbahce struggle to stump up the money for the player, Arsenal would be insane to sell Ozil at this juncture.
