90s band The Corrs are back – and they haven’t changed a bit

Siblings Andrea, Sharon, Caroline and Jim Corr dominated the charts at the turn of the millennium with hits such as Runaway and Breathless, but they went on hiatus in 2006 and had not performed together in almost a decade before losing their father, Gerry, in April this year (15).

The famous Irish family band have revealed tigo on sale a week from today – Thursday September 24 at 9am.hey will play the 3 Arena in Dublin on January 28 and Belfast’s SSE Arena on January 29 in 2016.

They had taken some time out, with Andrea and Sharon having pursued solo careers, but have now announced the brand new album White Light, which will be released on November 27th.

The quartet, from Dundalk, Co Louth, enjoyed huge success in the late 90s and early 00s having sold over 30 million albums since their 1995 debut Forgiven Not Forgotten.

She added: “But music is part of the fabric of us”.

Speaking after a short set in Ronnie Scott’s in London’s Soho at lunchtime, where they played a mix of old and new tracks, Sharon said: “We never sort of chose to stop or quit as a band”.

She said: “We’re just finishing a record right now of all new songs that we’re really excited about”. “This is what we do so we’re just doing it”.

The gigs are part of the band’s United Kingdom and Ireland tour, which will see them play dates in Birmingham, Cardiff, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Glasgow.
