If you’re very concerned about your apps not working or your device not performing up to par, don’t upgrade to iOS 9 immediately. Unfortunately, SplitView is only now available for the iPad Air 2, but we know the iPad Pro will also support it when it launches later this year. Its other new features – the Maps data, split-screen multitasking mode, 3D Touch, Siri voice recognition and more, will hopefully make your iPhone run better than most of its kind.
The app has also gained support for the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus’ 3D Touch feature, where users can now start a brand new movie project in iMovie directly from their Home screen.
Users complained that they couldn’t install it because the update required too much storage space.
Apple’s brand new software update for the iPhone and iPad is finally here.
It’s true, any other ecosystem would kill for Apple’s OS adoption figures-as of this writing, 87 percent of the userbase is running some version of iOS 8. It’s a free download, so you won’t have to break out your credit card.
Sadly, not everyone can join the iOS 9 party and if you own an iPhone 4 or original iPad it might be time to head to the Apple Store and buy a new device. Simply plug in your iPhone, iPad or iPod to your computer and in the iTunes menu, select “Back up now”. If you can’t download it right away, it’s because Apple now has a queue system for big updates like iOS 9 to ensure speedy downloads.
Apple’s iOS 9 will be available for over-the-air download on September 16.

Some have run into problems after that installation, being hit by an error message telling them that “Software update failed”. You will need the latest version – iTunes 12.2.2 – to do this. “To do so, once it’s let out into the wild in a few hours” time, go the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, and to General Software Update.
