She does it so perfectly that many forget this is the Reality Era – Nikki Bella in WWE is not the same Nikki Bella out of WWE. As it stands Nikki Bella is only at 303 combined days (as of writing) so still has a long way to go to catch AJ.

While many fans unsatisfied with the development were quick to blame her off-screen relationship with WWE’s franchise star John Cena for the outcome, the accomplishment is instead the culmination of the company’s masterful molding of the Divas division’s top heel. She hasn’t got to where she is because she simply came after AJ Lee.
Nikki isn’t exactly the favorite right now and like perhaps Seth Rollins, the WWE has done a great job drawing in critics and haters for her. But come WWE Night of Champions, all that could change for both WWE pets and hopefully, the rightful champions will be put in place. With this technique, Bella snuck her sister, Brie, into the ring.
Conspiracy theorists contend that the powers that be in WWE had Nikki break AJ’s record to spite her and her husband, CM Punk, who left the company on bad terms and is being sued by WWE’s senior ringside physician for defamation. Trish’s achievements in WWE over those years include an impressive seven reigns as the WWE Women’s Champion and holding the title for a combined 828 days, a three time Babe of the Year between 2001 and 2003, she was voted the Diva of the Decade, won the Hardcore Championship one time, and is in the 2013 Hall of Fame class. Hold up Nikki Bella’s career against these three and I think it’s fair to say Nikki has a lot still to achieve. They also recognized it as a transparent attempt to erase the wife of CM Punk from the history books as some sort of taunt to the Chicago native.

Right now, WWE needs to engage with the fans, and the only way they can do that is by developing their current crop of Divas to the point where we’re all emotionally wrapped in each of their individual personas and stories. Personally I’d like to believe WWE have given Nikki this honour because she has earned and deserved it. Charlotte won’t need to pin her to become the new Divas champion.
“Oh, I don’t think so”. She’s plastic, she’s phony and she cares more about the glamour than the gold.

Every ounce of effort and work she put into her in-ring performance has only helped prepare her for this moment, for her role as the centerpiece of the Divas division and the lead heel in WWE’s Divas revolution.
