Police say gunmen kill father and toddler in Indian-controlled Kashmir

Three year old Burhan, who got injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire on his father on Friday evening, succumbed to his injuries.

While Bashir Ahmed Bhat, who had quit militancy after serving a prison term died on Friday, three-year-old Burhan passed away on Saturday morning.

Both have been rushed to hospital, however Bhat succumbed to his accidents on the best way, whereas his three-yr-previous son died this afternoon.

“His son was referred to SKIMS Srinagar for specialized treatment”, he said.

36-year-old Bashir Ahmad Bhat was associated with some terror outfits 15 years ago, sources in the police have said.

Reports said that as the news about the killing of HM militant Fayaz Ahmed Bhat spread in North Kahsmir, scores of people from Pattan and Palhalan area took to streets and organized pro-freedom protests. The cops launched a manhunt to nab the assailants.
