Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg says, ‘OK’ to ‘Dislike’ Button…fnally!
Speaking at a public Q&A session this week, Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg revealed that he’s been listening and knows we’ve been calling for a “Dislike” button for years. Giving it the means to turn negative or aggressive would be a mistake. Many of us might ask this question, but the truth is that the dislike button might be a great reason why people will not come on Facebook anymore.

In the end, Facebook won’t name the button as “Dislike“, but there are some predictions that the site is comming up with alternative options that might be given to users in addition to “Like”.
Facebook possesses its own set of emojis, in quite a variety. This could be due to the need to not make it too confusing for the user to pick an emoji.
Although this is only our estimation and expectation of what the social media giant is planning to do since users have been increasingly demanding a new button, aside from the long existing Like button.

Zuckerberg explained that he does not want Facebook to turn “into a forum in which people are voting up or down people’s posts” and that is exactly what he does not want Facebook to turn into. His reasoning is that people are not necessarily going to misuse it. That there are some posts that a “like” is simply not appropriate for. He wants something more diverse or emotional – like the ability “to express empathy” for someone. Bravo all around! Mr. Zuckerberg has chose to step up and give you your “dislike” button. This possible button, we believe, is a much better idea than a single-function empathy or Dislike button like the users were previously demanding. “Good Lord – “dislike” on that would be a huge flaming mess”, Williamson said.
