It’s a record that Bush has been eagerly trying to contrast with what he describes as the questionable history of his biggest rival. “Donald Trump has tried nearly every year to have a casino, even before Jeb was governor”, said Danny Adkins, president of Mardi Gras Casino in Hallandale Beach. Trump, cutting him off: “I would have gotten it….” With all previous evidence to the contrary, Trump added, “I will take care of women”.
Jeb Bush told Hemmer that he was standing on his tiptoes because he was looking in the audience for his wife.
She was asked to respond to Trump’s disparaging comments in Rolling Stone about her appearance, when he quipped, “Would anyone vote for that?”
Can you imagine the investigations and vicious smears of Democrats that would have ensued had Al Gore been President at the time of the 9/11 attacks?
“I’m in favor of vaccines, do them over a longer period of time, same amount, but just in little sections and I think you’re going to see a big impact on autism”, he said.
At the time, early in Bush’s first term, Trump was working with the tribe on a deal to manage what’s now the Hard Rock Casino. I don’t know if you remember, Donald.
The attack, however, came just eight months into the Bush presidency.
Kevin Madden, a former aide to 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney, tweeted during the debate that the public was witnessing a “Low energy Donald Trump”.
Trump: “Don’t make things up. The simple fact is…”
BUSH: “I’m not going to be bought by anybody”. But Trump pressed him.

It is simply outrageous that the Bush crowd would have the audacity to say they “kept us safe” after presiding over the 9/11 debacle – and the inept, ineffective, ideologically driven response that followed.
