ASUS Release 4GB RAM & 16GB Storage ZenFone 2 For $229

Asus has introduced multiple variants of the ZenFone 2 in India and has now, revealed a new variant of the ZenFone 2 in the USA which will come equipped with 4GB RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage. Previously, the 16 GB model – which started at just $200 – was offered only with 2 GB of RAM, but now you can double the RAM for $30 more. As such, the ASUS ZenFone 2 has quickly become a bit of a fan favorite for many. For those looking for the best bang for their buck and want to multitask like a champ, the $230 ZenFone 2 seems to be the clear cut choice. This phone has a microSD card slot, so you can always add more storage. There was little in between. Now, ASUS has quietly begun selling a new model of the device that bridges the gap between the standard model and the upgraded model with extra RAM and storage. Ideal for those who want the higher performance and don’t mind compromising on storage. As mentioned, inside, the ZenFone 2 comes loaded with 4GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.

This model has a 1.8 GHz Intel Atom Z3560 Moorefield processor, while the $299 model has a faster 2.3 GHz Atom Z3580 chip.

The ZenFone 2 comes with a new version of the Zen UI that is built atop Android 5.0 Lollipop. The device also integrates a 5.5-inch IPS screen with Full HD (1080 x 1920) resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 13 MP main camera with autofocus, dual-LED flash, and Full HD video recording support and a 5 MP user-facing cam for your selfie needs.
