Police do not have a full description of the suspects, but they say one is described as a white, heavy-set man.
Their names – and the identity of the officer who was shot – haven’t been released.
“Thank goodness he’s going to be fine”, Police Chief Joe Yahner said, noting the officer was hit by multiple rounds to his vest and has significant injuries.
The two other people said Rogers pulled out a gun after being pulled over and held it up waiting for the officer to approach, then fired at the officer through the open window, police said in the court document. Jonathan Howard attributes to the body armor the officer was wearing during the incident. “We are still actively investigating and trying to get all leads together”. Officers found the vehicle they believe was involved a couple miles away.
Jim Nelms, a resident of the complex, watched it all go down. We have the house surrounded. “He’s not a violent person”, Nelms said of the man police have in custody.

They say two men and one woman have been detained in the case. After he surrendered, officers found a.45-caliber handgun in the bathroom, according to police records. Neither he nor his family wanted to talk to the media.
