Super Mario Bros. 30th Anniversary Google Easter Egg

Super Mario” celebrated its 30th anniversary with a Nintendo-style party where artists performed the game’s theme music for fans dressed as the renowned plumber.

The video is set to the iconic soundtrack from the original Super Mario Bros game, and features some of Nintendo’s more obscure titles where Mario made an appearance. That doesn’t mean that Nintendo won’t give the game an extra visibility boost in the form of DLC.

Mario turned 30 on Sunday, September 13, 2015.

At the moment, Miyamoto has yet to create any courses for Super Mario Maker, though he promises to “definitely post something” in the future.

Today, Mario’s adventures aren’t limited to running and jumping. Mario and Luigi were already featured in a game called “Jumpman” released in 1981. Some of these questions have relatively obvious answers: anyone observant should see that Mario doesn’t break bricks with his head, but with his fist in a Shoryuken-sort of pose. If you destroy blocks during your fight, the hand will appear to replace them.

Two of Nintendo’s biggest recent releases are set to come together, as the company announced tonight that a Super Mario Maker level is coming to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS.

Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto created the character. Apart from the event, Nintendo has recently released a new Super Mario game for the WiiU console, which can also be accessed by multiple players over the internet.
