Microsoft is rumored to be working on a successor model of the Microsoft Band fitness tracker that was released past year . The Microsoft Band 2 also features a curved shape for a better fit around your wrist.

Little else is known about the Microsoft Band 2 though we expect that more will be revealed at Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 10 event on October 6, in which a range of new devices will be unveiled. A small price bump is also possible, but given the discounts the first-generation model received, the new one shouldn’t be much more expensive.

Other reports suggest that as seen in these renders the Microsoft Band 2 is going to have a curved face, we also see in these renders that the fitness tracker may have a metallic finish which is a major departure from the rather simple looks of its predecessor.

Here is another leaked photo of Microsoft Band 2.

Details regarding the features that the second-generation Band could bring are not yet available, but the device is likely to come with more sensors, majority supposed to track exercises. Microsoft has changed the placement of the battery this time, and shifted it underneath the display instead of on the side, where it is placed on the original Band. Moreover, it will be able to measure the height of workouts.
