Skype App Down For Users Around The World
Those affected by the on-going issues won’t be able to make any calls, all contacts will show as offline including yourself and you won’t be able to change your status.

Microsoft has confirmed the outage across social media and via the Skype website.
Multiple users are experiencing problems with Skype’s desktop and mobile apps.
The team behind Skype is aware of the issue and they are now working on fixing it, though no timeline was given.
Despite indications to the contrary, Skype said instant messages are still being delivered. Thousands of users are already complaining that they can not sign in to Skype right now, so hopefully this outage won’t last long. “Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused while we get this resolved”, the company said.
Skype customer service has posted a message for customers.
Skype users across the United Kingdom were left without access to their accounts this morning following what appears to be a major outage impacting the rest of the world too. In the meantime, however, if you really need to start a call with someone on Skype, going to Skype for Web is the best option until the desktop client is back up.

In a blog, the Redmond-based company issued a statement saying that while Skype is “working on the issue”, users can still use Skype for Web in the interim. We’ll update this article once services are back up and running.
