Shola Ameobi is training with Wolves this week ahead of a proposed move to the club.

A number of big clubs were keen on signing the 19-year-old striker, but now it seems as if United will keep him despite speculations claiming he could be on his way out on a short-term loan.
“Shola is down for a few days and will play for the under-21s tonight at Swansea”, head coach Kenny Jackett told the club’s official site.
He was released by the club in the summer of 2014 and, after originally moving to Turkish side Gaziantep, Ameobi returned to England and made four appearances for former Newcastle boss Alan Pardew at Crystal Palace.
Wolves face a struggling, 22nd placed, Preston North End side at Deepdale on Saturday, and it remains to be seen whether Ameobi will be a Wolves player by then. It is a “look and see” both ways as he has other options’.
Ameobi has a wealth of Premier League experience, including scoring 79 goals in 379 games for Newcastle – although he never really cemented a place as their star forward.

Coady saw red for a strong challenge on Liam Rosenior, but Jackett was “surprised” at the decision.
